Professor asks: Trig hoax? Sarah Palin spokesman enraged

A journalism professor at Northern Kentucky University has written a research paper titled, “Palin, the Press, and the Fake Pregnancy Rumor.” The professor, Brad Scharlott, asserts that there was enough evidence of a possible hoax to have warranted closer scrutiny by mainstream media during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Sarah’s former spokesman, Bill McAllister, has gone ballistic in response, threatening to commit assault and battery on the professor and writing that he’d like to challenge him to a duel. Calling Scharlott “despicable” and “a scoundrel,” McAllister forwarded his response to faculty colleagues, saying, “he should be fired.”
Rest assured, the question of whether Sarah is really Trig’s mother, or whether she faked the pregnancy and lied about the birth is not an issue I ignore in The Rogue.

I read Brad Scharlott’s paper a hope it makes the rounds and perhaps someone in the media will actually, finally, hat the guts to do something.

After following Palin for a number of years, I am absolutely THRILLED to see so many people WITH VOICES FINALLY addressing “The Biggest Hoax Of The Century”! Palin faked the pregnancy, no doubt in my mind!!

SO GOOD to hear you will discuss the babygate hoax issue. I just read the Scharlott paper and it rings true in every respect re my own impressions. McAllister’s name-calling and threats of slapping him (Ooooh! I bet that really scares Scharlott!) do not change the facts Scharlott discusses in his paper.
I hope you will explain the overwhelming mountain of circumstantial evidence supporting this hoax — and also explain how a woman can have a photo-documented flat-as-a-board profile 5 weeks before giving birth to a 6+ pound baby. And days after the flat profile, how she can be watermelon-sized? And a few days after that, much flatter again? And then a few days later on two plane rides, pass the scrutiny of flight crew who report “she was not pregnant by observation.” And then allegedly give birth 24 hrs later.
The only explanation is: different-sized strap-on fake pregnancy bellies and someone else’s baby handed to her.
Whose baby? Doesn’t matter. This is not about Trig or others in her family, It’s about Sarah Palin alone and this one monumental lie that symbolizes her other lies, her bankrupt family values, her lack of common sense and judgment, and possibly severe mental pathology.
So many of us are so eager for appropriate discussion of this enormous unreported hoax that continues to prevail unchallenged.
My question is: “How in the heck do you know when to stop with your chapters and finally get the book to print?”

excellent! so glad to hear you don’t ignore it. this issue is a huge part of the myth of sarah palin. it is clear as day that she didn’t birth that child (I’m not getting my hopes up that you’ll put it to rest, but still glad that you plan to address it). all those speeches she gave where she talks about her pregnancy and the birth of Tri-G… all lies and I want to see justice served. in addition to the fact that she’s making that kid live a lie in order to further her myth… disgusting. “yes my son look here are pictures of me when I was pregnant with you” – UGH. it makes me sick.

Discovering the truth won’t exactly change anything. We will just have confirmation. Sarah will still be here, smiling. Everyone else will then be bored to death when he/she doesn’t have someone to stalk everyday. Can I bring up a very valid point. This has nothing to do with babygate, as most people knew it was a fake from the beginning. Most people just don’t care as they have lives. My question is, due to a couple of palin bloggers who have previously stated several times that numerous people/sources have led them down the garden path with lies, doesn’t that illustrate a certain type of people who live in Alaska, who feel the need to lie about another person? Then, you have a certain blogger who insisted several months ago that a certain young lady was with child, even though she obviously wasn’t. This blogger maliciously and vindictively got his readers to not only believe it too but comment with flatout rude statements regarding this topic. I’ll ask again. Doesn’t this illustrate a certain, er, type of person in Alaska, one that has ill, immature intentions?

Interesting that you would consider the comments from KatieAnnieOakley and crystalwolfakacaligrl “ballistic.” Seems the Palin camp always goes straight to “eleven” like that when faced with even the teensiest criticism of their “ill, immature intentions.” Just check out Bill McAllister’s reaction to the prof’s paper for the most recent example.
Hopefully Sarah Palin, an insignificant sociopath, will fade away and never become the lipsticked face of fascism, carrying a bible and wrapped in a flag. As shown in these Palingates videos linked to below, the larger question is the subservience of the media to their corporate masters, and the distortions, outright lies, and lies of omission that they perpetrate. There have been enough glaring examples, from the phony excuses to invade Iraq to the coverup of the real damage done in the Gulf by BP, to come to the sorry conclusion that Americans are bombarded with propaganda from the teevee, radio, and press, and our government is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackwater, Koch Industries, and Monsanto.
Maybe this paper by the good professor and Joe’s book will expose the media so that the public can wake up out of its stupor and demand accountability.

McAllister’s response was totally over the top – just think about a 3 year old who is caught with his hand in the cookie jar when Mummy has told him “no”.

I don’t see how anyone is expecting Sarah’s fake pregnancy to be exposed based on the above comment by Joe. It seems a very guarded statement . He checked it out, doesn’t mean he concluded that she faked it.
In fact, I read his comment differently than you all seem to … I don’t think he will reach a definitive conclusion at all. I am betting that he will lay out the ‘evidence’ and discuss the why/where of the rumours, then leave it at that.
Hope I am wrong, but I am not counting on an AH-HA moment.
